This is the only vegetable my son will have without making any fuss... Cauliflower in any form is a big hit at home. This is a very easy preparation.
Onion: 1 large sliced
Ginger: 2 tsp juliennes
Garlic: 2 tsp juliennes
Cauliflower: 2 cups
Green Chillies: 3 slit
Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala: 1/2 tsp
Salt: as required
Oil: 2 tbsp
Soak the cauliflower in hot water. Add a tbsp of salt and close the lid.
Let it remain like that for fifteen minutes.
After 15 minutes, drain the water completely.
Heat Oil in a kadai. Throw in the onions, ginger and garlic and saute for a minute.
Now add the cauliflower, green chillies, turmeric and salt and cook on low flame, stirring in between.
When it is almost done, add the Garam masala and mix well.
Cook till done and serve hot with plain rice.
Poriyals with cauliflower are always my favourite, your version looks very delicious.
