This is a delicious prawns curry in a rich sauce which can be made on weekends. Well, it can be made on a weekday also but if you are bothered about calories and fat content of your meal...then surely its a no-no for a regular meal. And on weekends...INDULGE...go with it!!!!
Prawns: 400 gm cleaned
Onion: 2 medium diced
Ginger: 1 inch juliennes
Tomato: 1 medium chopped
Garlic: 8 cloves or 1 pod chopped fine
Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala: 1 tsp
Chilly Powder: 1 1/2 tsp
Fresh Cream: 2 tbsp
Oil: 2 tbsp
Salt: as required
Heat oil in a kadai and throw in the onions and saute till wilted
Add the ginger and garlic and saute till golden brown
Add the masalas, sprinkle water and saute for 2 minutes on low flame
Add the tomatoes and saute till its cooked well.
Add the prawns, salt and mix everything properly.
Add a cup of water and let it cook properly.
When it is cooked, add the fresh cream, mix properly, let it boil for a minute.
Turn off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot with rotis.
