Bread fruit/Sheema Chakka : 2 cups chopped
Small Onion/Shallots: 10
Ginger: 1 inch piece
Green Chillies: 10
Oil: as needed
Salt: as needed
Mustard: 1 tsp
Curryleaves: 2 sprig
Chilly Powder: 1.5 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 tsp
Coriander Powder: 3 tsp
Garam Masala: 3/4 tsp
Thick Coconut Milk; 1/2 cup
Thin coconut milk: 2 cups
Heat oil. splutter mustard and curry leaf.
Saute onions, ginger and greenchillies till wilted.
Add chilly powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder and saute for a few minutes.
Add the bread fruit and the thin coconut milk and cook till done.
Add thick coconut milk and when it boils along the edges, take off fire.
One of my favorites! Wish I could have this for lunch today!!
